Hi,
This is my first blog so i'm very excited!
So far my time at the Guild has been spent trying to get my head around what I want to do, what people want me to do and how to do any of it! I've had a meeting with my mentor Ed Sparks which was very productive and gave me a great introduction to the Guild. Also I have completed my non-sabaticle training and so hopefully from now on it will be easier to put into practice some of my ideas.
This evening I will be sitting in on a Community wardens meeting and intend to go on some of they're patrols this week to get a clearer idea of their role.
So far it's all a bit daunting but i'm looking forward to getting stuck in a bit more over the next couple of weeks.

My role is to promote a positive student image to the community and ensure that local residents understand the issues that students face when living in the community. I'm here to give students a voice within the community and also to work within the Guild to promote community volunteering.
